I have decided not to go the unfill route -
I am going to try eating "mushies" for the next 5 days and see if I can keep all of that down and hopefully this will give my stomach a rest !

Not feeling hungry
I have been back from Nova Scotia for two weeks now and I just have no interest in food at all - other than maybe cheese and ice cream.(icecream being a no.. no !)
Sometimes I think I may actually feel hungry but once I eat a bite or more - I don't want to eat any more.
An hour or so ago I threw up crackers and peanut butter that I eaten for a snack - - I have been doing that a few times a week since I got back!
Has anyone experienced anything like this and how did you get back to eating again and actually wanting to eat!
Never thought I would have no interest in food !!!

Vacation over :(
These last 6 weeks have gone by so fast -
I am back home now and trying to get use to the heat again - and boy do I mean Hot !!!!
I tried to soak up all the wonderful cool weather while I was in Nova Scotia - temperatures from low 50's to high 80's - the only thing is that when it was in the 80's it was a dry heat and unlike here it was bearable ! It always cooled down in the evenings though - it only rained about three times while I was there.
I walked 3 to 4 hours most every day - all my family thought I was crazy - cause even when it rained - I just put on a rain coat and put up my umbrella and off I went.
I use to walk down to the Dartmouth Ferry and went over to Halifax that way or walked over the Dartmouth bridge to Halifax - I mostly liked to go on the ferry though because once off the ferry there was lots of hilly streets to climb - I loved every moment of my walking.
Only had one bad situation with my band and a couple of little ones but on the whole I did very well -
I went for my official weigh in on Tuesday and I lost about 13 1/2 pounds while I was there so that was great - works out to about 2 pounds a week loss.
I am now wearing size 10 slacks and medium tops :)
While there I bought a few things - mostly from thrift shops - like "Frenchy's and "Salvation Army" - all had original price tags on them for a fraction of their price - If I lived full time in Canada or the United States, I would never buy anywhere else but in the "thrift" shops !
I hope everyone is doing well and I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of blogging !

Bad day today
I have been PB'ing like crazy today - woke up this morning and tried to take my vitamin pills, etc., but after the second one, it got stuck.
Tried to drink some tea - got about 1/4 of a cup in me - could not eat a thing.
Tried to eat lunch - got one mouthful of seafood chowder in me and had to run to the bathroom - lucky for me it was two seconds away from the table we were sitting at. I went for a walk when we go back to their house and I threw up about three times and was sliming like crazy the whole time. Now it was 4 oclock and I hadn't eaten anything all day!
I am staying with my sister and her husband for a few days - they didn't know about the lapband - but with my eating so little , etc., I could see they were worried about me - so I sat down with them and told them about the fact that I did have the lapband and all about it.
I guess the travelling by plane and being in a different climate, etc., has caused my lapband to tighten up - anyway _ I felt emotionally better after I told them.
My brother-in-law went to the drug store and got me some Gravol to take - I had forgetten that that is what you should take when you have such a bad stomach - so I took the dosage too fast and threw up everything - looked like food from the last couple of days - anyway - once that happened I felt 100% better and took another dosage of gravol and now I feel human again.
I looked on the internet to see if there were any lapband centers in Halifax but it looks like there isn't - bummer!

Nova Scotia
Saying hi to you all from Dartmouth Nova Scotia - It's wonderful to be back home in Nova Scotia - the weather has been 90% sunny - I have been doing alot of walking - things have changed alot in downtown Halifax - I can't believe it!
It was so warm today that I was actually sweating as I walked along - my brothers are telling me I must have brought the sun with me cause it has been raining in Halifax/Dartmouth for the last month and a half - and since I have been here the sun is back again so they are all happy to see the Sun and dry streets :)
Have a great evening everyone!

This and That
I see that I haven't posted anything since May 14th - wow - time goes by so fast.
I have been reading other posts except for the last few days as I have been trying to catch up on office work and house work which I was bogged down in. Also with going to training sessions three times a week and picking up the grand children 4 times a week - the time just seems to fly.
I have a NSV !!! I jogged 3/4 of a mile on the treadmill with a heart rate of 179 (that's the same heart rate of a 40 something year old !!!!). I have never jogged ever before - and here I am at 62 doing just that! Dr Patti said last week - do you think your legs are stronger now - and I said "Sure" so then she said okey so today you are going to jog 1/4 of a mile - My eyes almost popped out of my head - I said "me" jog - I don't think that will happen. Anyway the long and short of it is I am now up to 3/4's of a mile - almost made it to 1 mile! See, you're never too old :)
I am about to make a 6 week trip to my home in Halifax, Nova Scotia - I am very excited about that - I am looking forward to lots of walking - its hilly in downtown Halifax so makes for wonderful exercise - I love to walk and I am looking forward to the cooler weather up there !
I will join the public library so that I can get on their computers so that I will not loose touch with what is happening with you all !
Have a great week end everyone !
